I'll be using Star Stable: The Summer Riders as an example!
Take a second to download your favorite game! The website I'm using is https://oldgamesdownload.com/
Make sure you extract it to a folder. I like to "extract all" to the downloads folder to keep everything together!
The game file should be a .ccd! In some cases it may look like how its shown on my screen.
I dont recommend changing the letter drive unless it defaults to a letter drive already in use!
Navigate to this screen, then double click "PXRoute" to install the game to your computer. Follow the steps depending on the installer wizard. You may need to install a new driver, or version of Direct X.
If so, let it fully open to the title screen if applicable, then exit the game out. You may or may not, depending on the game, get a pop up about the game's compatibility settings. I highly recommend clicking the button that says "Run game with compatibility settings". This will relaunch the game.
Now that the game is installed, you can double click your game to "read the disk" and start the game! You can also click the drop down arrow next to the disk files on the side bar to run the game through PXRoute if you wish!
